Any property marketed for sale in England and Wales requires a Hip. Until 6th April 2009, you do not need to have possession of the Hip but must have proof that one has been ordered.

From 6th April 2009 in accordance to HIP Regulations, HIP prices are now subject to additional disbursements being levied by Local Authorities. Please be aware that the price for a Cardiff HIP will vary from the rest of South Wales.
